| Club Service |
Club Service provides the resources and structure necessary for effective meetings and other club functions. Club service at Kingston has traditionally been strong. The weekly programs are interesting, informative, and often entertaining; the meeting place is elegant; and a spirit of fellowship permeates all club events. |
| Community Service |
Community Service addresses needs and opportunities in the community. Every year the Kingston Club supports community schools through a program of student recognition and awards. In addition, the Club almost always sponsors an important special project. In recent years, these projects have included: conducting an energy fair, putting Roane County on the World Wide Web, publishing a history book on the County with copies given to schools and libraries, and supporting the Roane County Bicentennial celebration by taking responsibility for organizing and conducting history tours. |
| Vocational Service |
Vocational Service involves putting high standards of conduct into practice in professional and business activities and recognizing and promoting vocational excellence. Each year, the Rotary Club of Kingston recognizes outstanding teachers in community schools and gives an award to the top Vocational student in the County. |
| International Service |
International Service works for international peace and understanding by promoting goodwill among all peoples. Traditionally, the Kingston Club has been a strong supporter of the Rotary Foundation, which supports many international activities including Polio Plus, a program to wipe out polio in the entire world by the year 2005. |
